It is understood that as its most basic responsibility and function, the Clinton County United Way exists to provide funding for emergency, life-sustaining and critical care services for those who cannot, due to indigence or reasons beyond their control, provide for themselves.

While these objectives are primary, other factors which affect United Way agencies as they provide educational, developmental and recreational services during these trying economic times are, too, worthy of consideration.

It is the duty of the Allocation Committee and the resulting action of the Clinton County United Way Board of Directors to determine, given the needs of the community and the resources available, those services most demanded and worthy of our financial support.
